About the Workshop

As the dancers pass through space in curves and spirals, a dance web is woven in which everything and everyone is connected. In this constant flow of movement, the spatial composition is in constant transformation and invites the dancers to actively shape this spontaneous choreography.

In the process, the senses and a 360° perception of the space are sharpened. The aim is for the dancers to listen to themselves as well as to the dynamics and musicality of the group. Ultimately, the proposed approach is intended to become a vehicle for more freedom in movement and expression.

Passing Through is an improvisational technique originally coined by Venezuelan dancer and choreographer David Zambrano. Over the years Simon has developed and passed on his own approach and will be sharing this during the 4 hour workshop.
